Polanski, who has been married to Gaga since 2023 and is the father of their child, emphasizes that data collection is central to Outer Bio's mission. The startup's platform, Yuna, keeps human skin samples alive for up to four weeks, enabling long-term research. Polanski explained that the team collects data from skin samples taken multiple times a month, which is then used to train AI models to predict the effects of compounds on human skin. He stated, 'We are not doing generative AI, we are doing predictive AI.'
