Leap motor expands into embodied intelligence robotics

During its mid-2026 earnings call, Leap Motor management stated that new energy vehicle companies, particularly those with full self-research capabilities, are well-positioned to develop embodied intelligent robots. Leap Motor has already begun planning in this field and intends to announce specific details soon. According to business registration data, Leap Motor's subsidiary Zhejiang Lingsheng Power Technology Co., Ltd. established Huzhou Lingsheng Precision Manufacturing Co., Ltd. in July 2026 as a wholly-owned subsidiary. The company has a registered capital of 210 million yuan and its business scope includes industrial robot manufacturing and intelligent robot research and development. Leap Motor also announced its 2026 annual technology conference, scheduled for September, where it will unveil an auxiliary driving world model considered to be at the level of the industry's first-tier. Separately, Leap Motor reported a net profit of 208 million yuan for the first half of 2026, representing a 530.97% increase compared to the same period in the previous year.
