Lenovo and Haier forge strategic alliance to integrate AI pcs with smart home ecosystems
Lenovo Group and Haier Group have signed a strategic cooperation agreement at Lenovo's global headquarters in Beijing, with senior executives including Yang Yuanqing and Zhou Yunjie present. The partnership aims to drive the integration of computing power and real-world scenarios as AI transitions from technological innovation to industrial application. Both companies will leverage their technical and ecological strengths to explore new pathways for AI empowerment in the real economy.
The agreement focuses on five key areas, including the development of end-to-end integrated data centers with advanced cooling technologies, global supply chain collaboration to enhance efficiency and reduce costs, and the integration of Haier's Casco platform with Lenovo's computing capabilities. Together, they will create 'computing power + platform + scenario' solutions, drawing on the experience of 'Lighthouse Factories'.
A significant part of the collaboration involves embedding Lenovo's AI PCs and other devices into Haier's smart home ecosystem, alongside the co-development of home robots. The partnership also includes efforts to establish industry standards and joint investment mechanisms.
For Lenovo, the partnership represents a crucial step in identifying real-world applications for AI terminals, while Haier sees it as an opportunity to strengthen its smart home and industrial internet initiatives through external computing power. Both companies aim to deliver an integrated experience combining 'devices + computing power + services', providing replicable industrial models to support the goals of 'Digital China' and 'Dual Carbon'.
