The Market Regulation Bureau of China held a press conference on August 21, 2024, to announce the second phase of the Quality Strong Chain initiative. At the event, Zhang Ralei, Deputy Director of the Bureau's Quality Development Bureau, stated that the initiative will focus on ten key projects, building on the success of the first phase. The second phase will continue to prioritize areas such as high-end instruments, new energy, and industrial robots, while expanding into new directions such as embodied intelligent robots and solid-state batteries. Additionally, new fields like industrial mother machines, drones, and advanced synthetic biological manufacturing will be added. Zhang emphasized the initiative's approach of 'three batches' to optimize its layout: continuing to deepen research in existing key areas, expanding into emerging directions aligned with industry development, and introducing new fields targeting current industry trends. The initiative aims to strengthen the quality of the supply chain and support technological innovation across various sectors.
