Meta and Fourier collaborate on humanoid robot prototype named max
Meta has partnered with Chinese company Fourier to develop a humanoid robot prototype named Max, according to a report by The Information. The robot, which took three months to develop, stands approximately 1.5 meters tall and weighs around 48.1 kilograms. It is equipped with an NVIDIA Thor chip. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg described the robot as the 'physical embodiment' of the Muse AI model, claiming it could perform daily household tasks.
The collaboration between Meta and Fourier began in September 2026, with the development of Max 2, which will feature a redesigned torso and other standard upgrades. However, the companies have not announced a release date or plans to sell the prototype. The project remains under wraps, with no official details on its commercialization strategy.
