Meta's AI agent muse enters closed beta, offers cross-app and financial management features
Meta has launched its AI agent 'Muse' into a closed beta testing phase, marking a significant step in its transition from large language models to personal AI agents. The app, which recently became available on the App Store, requires users to join a waitlist or use an invitation code for access. Muse is designed to manage tasks across various device scenarios, integrating with Gmail, Google Calendar, and health apps like Peloton and HealthEx. It also supports form filling, message sending, and ticket price monitoring for travel and entertainment.
Muse's financial capabilities include real-time spending tracking through direct connections to credit cards and bank accounts, along with suggestions to cancel low-frequency subscriptions. Meta previously introduced the Muse Spark large model system for Gemini and localized AI models. As agent technology becomes more embedded in sensitive areas like finance and privacy, balancing efficiency with user trust will be critical to its commercial success.
