MiniMax reports record revenue growth and sharp rise in gross profit
MiniMax, a prominent AI unicorn, has reported significant financial performance for the first half of the year. The company's revenue reached $117 million, marking a 283.1% increase compared to the same period last year. This growth highlights the accelerating commercialization and market expansion of its large model products.
The company's gross profit also saw a substantial rise, reaching $20.813 million during the reporting period, a 464.8% increase from the previous year. This indicates that product value-added and scale effects are becoming more apparent. However, MiniMax recorded a net loss of $358 million during the period, which was 11% lower than the same period last year.
Industry analysts noted that while large model companies are still in the high-investment phase of technology research and development and infrastructure construction, MiniMax has managed to narrow its losses and significantly boost its gross profit. This progress reflects the growing ability of leading Chinese AI companies to balance technological innovation with commercial viability.
