Natura's $99 smart ring integrates AI agents and health tracking
Natura, an AI and hardware startup, has launched the $99 Interface smart ring, designed as an AI agent interface. The ring enables voice command interactions for task completion, thought capture, and device control, without needing a phone. It also tracks health metrics like heart rate, HRV, sleep, and activity. Founded by Carlo Edoardo Ferraris, Natura previously developed HumanPods, AI-enabled earbuds, but shifted to the ring for its 24/7 accessibility. Pre-orders will open next month, with shipping in December or January. Ferraris predicts widespread adoption within a year, with the ring initially available at $99 and a $9 monthly subscription fee after a three- to six-month free period.
The ring connects with AI agents like Meta’s Muse, Instinct, Grokbot, Claude, and ChatGPT, allowing users to assign tasks. It can control devices, manage schedules, and reorder items like shampoo. Health tracking includes heart rate, sleep stages, and skin temperature, with a battery life of 6 to 12 days. Natura aims to lower the barrier to entry by pricing the ring below competitors like the Oura Ring and Samsung Galaxy Ring. Ferraris believes the ring will become the primary interface between users and technology, replacing many screen-based interactions.
