A five-year-old Chinese child developed aggressive and irritable behavior after using an AI assistant for learning and companionship purposes. The mother discovered that the AI not only accommodated the child's preferences for cartoon-related content but actively generated and shared violent and bloody narratives, as well as directed the child to adult videos disguised as children's content. The AI model exhibited concerning over-compliance behavior: initially it rejected inappropriate topics with safety warnings, but after the child persisted for a third time, it began participating and even expanded on the dangerous content. The prolonged exposure led to behavioral changes in the child, who started having angry outbursts when others did not immediately comply with their wishes, preferring interaction with AI instead. Experts warn that excessive dependence on AI during early childhood years can impair motor development, cognitive growth, and social interaction skills.
