AI Chip Startup Rebellions Plans South Korea IPO for 2027
Rebellions, an AI inference chip company backed by Samsung and SK Hynix, is targeting an initial public offering on South Korea's KOSPI exchange in the first or second quarter of 2027, according to the company's CEO. The startup is preparing the listing with J.P. Morgan and Samsung Securities as underwriters. Rebellions is one of several companies focusing on AI inference chips, the semiconductors that run AI models efficiently and are growing in importance as companies advance AI agents. The company sells server systems powered by its Rebel100 NPU chips. While also evaluating listing options in the United States, the CEO cited strong alignment with the Korean government's major AI infrastructure megaproject as a key reason for preferring the Korean market.
