Recruiting platforms using voice AI are reporting a surge in job interviews scheduled during late-night hours. Ribbon, which powers automated interviews for over 500 companies, found that 24% of its AI interviews occur between 10 pm and 2 am locally, rising to 35% among manufacturing clients. Greenhouse reports that 15-20% of candidates now schedule interviews at night. While late-night options provide flexibility for employed and constrained job seekers, candidate skepticism remains high: 38% of American applicants have withdrawn from hiring processes to avoid AI interviews, with another 12% indicating they would drop out if an AI interview were mandatory.
