Alibaba launches Qwen AI ecosystem for smart glasses platform

Alibaba's open Qwen platform launched in August with support across computers, tablets, and smart glasses. The platform provides modules for developing custom skills and sector-specific customization. Developers can create assistants by combining glasses capabilities—such as photography and voice interaction—with specific needs: navigation assistants for visually impaired users that identify obstacles, tourism guides that explain buildings in view, and personal trainers. Alibaba also offers deep customization for industrial and retail sectors, enabling specialized assistants for equipment inspection and inventory checking. Additional features like spatial 3D visualization and health monitoring are under development.
