Anthropic's Claude 3.5 Flash delivers 4x faster performance than competing frontier models

Anthropic released performance metrics for its new Claude 3.5 Flash model, demonstrating substantial gains in speed and capability. The model operates four times faster than competing frontier models when measured by output tokens per second. Compared to its predecessor Claude 3.1 Pro, the 3.5 Flash version shows superior performance across nearly all evaluated benchmarks. The advancement is particularly pronounced in coding and agentic task workloads, achieving 76.2% on Terminal-Bench 2.1, 1656 Elo on GDPval-AA, and 83.6% on MCP Atlas.
