Apple Expands U.S. Manufacturing Partnership with Broadcom in $30 Billion Deal

Apple announced a multi-year agreement with chipmaker Broadcom that is expected to exceed $30 billion, marking the iPhone maker's largest U.S. manufacturing commitment to date. The partnership will result in the production of more than 15 billion U.S.-made chips and includes a $1.5 billion expansion of Broadcom's facility in Fort Collins, Colorado. While Broadcom has long supplied Apple with connectivity components for wireless, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth networks, the new agreement deepens the relationship through the development and supply of custom application-specific integrated circuits for AI workloads across multiple generations of Apple products through 2031. The commitment reflects Apple's broader $600 billion four-year U.S. investment initiative and aligns with the Trump administration's emphasis on domestic manufacturing expansion.
