Bezos backs CuspAI in $450M fundraise for AI-powered materials discovery

CuspAI, a British startup using artificial intelligence to simulate and discover novel material properties, raised $450 million at a $2.6 billion valuation in a round led by Kleiner Perkins and NEA with participation from Jeff Bezos' Bezos Expeditions. The startup is launching an AI Materials Foundry network with Nvidia and 44 other organizations providing compute infrastructure. The initiative aims to accelerate discovery of new materials for semiconductors, energy, and advanced manufacturing using AI-simulated material performance data.
