Calico Life Sciences uses AI to accelerate aging research

Calico Life Sciences has leveraged Co-Scientist, a multi-agent AI system, to accelerate research into age-related diseases. In a specific application studying liver fibrosis treatments, the system identified overlooked drug-repurposing candidates, including one that successfully blocked 91% of a scarring-linked response in laboratory tests. The results were published in Advanced Science and point toward new gene-regulating approaches to treat chronic liver disease.
