At the 2026 World Robotics Conference, which opened in Beijing on August 19, a new hybrid hydraulic-electric humanoid robot made its debut. The robot stands approximately 4 meters tall and showcases a distinct sense of power through its agile hands. According to the exhibitor, Yang Tao, the robot utilizes digital hydraulic technology combined with electric motors to overcome limitations in force capacity, ranging from kilograms to thousands of tons. This capability positions the robot for use in high-risk environments such as nuclear plant maintenance, deep-sea operations, and logistics handling. In addition to the large humanoid robot, agile robotic dogs were also showcased, designed to operate in hazardous conditions like mines. These robotic dogs are equipped with laser radar, infrared cameras, and gas sensors, enabling them to access areas unreachable by humans and collect multi-dimensional environmental data for safety decision-making.
