Chinese company launches humanoid robot with emotional interaction capabilities

Sichuan Embodied Humanoid Robot Technology presented its new humanoid robot with emotional interaction capabilities, called "Aiqiu" (爱湫), with an initial price of 98,000 yuan. Developed in partnership with Sichuan's humanoid robot training facility, the device features a design inspired by the glass lizard, a species native to the region. Created based on a large artificial intelligence model that integrates emotion, language, and action (ELA - Emotion-Language-Action), the robot incorporates a multimodal emotional computing engine, enabling perception and interactive response capabilities. With 135 millimeters in height and up to 32 degrees of freedom, the "Aiqiu" offers options for hands with three or five fingers. Its removable battery provides three hours of battery life, and the robot's face uses 3D ultra-short-focus projection technology, enabling customization of visual expressions.
