Project Covalence, developed in partnership with TrialSpark and Dr. Mark Fishman, introduces a specialized platform designed to support clinical trials for COVID-19-related projects. The initiative responds to a critical bottleneck identified across industry: accelerating clinical trial execution has become essential for companies developing drugs, vaccines, and diagnostics during the pandemic. The platform provides comprehensive infrastructure optimized for conducting trials in community settings and at patient homes, thereby reducing strain on hospitals and healthcare systems. Project Covalence integrates trial execution management, FDA-compliant remote data collection (21 CFR Part 11), telemedicine capabilities, biostatistical support, at-home specimen collection kits, and protocol development services. The shared infrastructure enables researchers from academic and commercial sectors to rapidly launch their studies. The initiative also plans to establish master protocols for platform studies, facilitating coordination across multiple trials through shared control arms and adaptive trial designs.
