Databricks leads the week's funding cycle with a new $5 billion round, just eight months after raising a similar amount. The data platform has reached an annual revenue run rate of $7 billion with 80% year-over-year growth, pushing its valuation to $190 billion. River AI, a reinforcement learning startup founded this year, raised $1.1 billion across initial rounds with backing from Nvidia and AMD. In infrastructure, Form Energy secured $750 million to expand long-duration batteries for power grids. The defense sector also heated up: Neros Technologies raised $250 million to increase drone production. CodeRabbit, focused on AI-powered code review, captured $143 million. Outside the U.S., Lovable secured $400 million for automated applications, while Cambridge Aerospace raised $300 million in British defense investments. The funding rounds reflect sustained investor appetite for AI technologies, critical infrastructure, and defense solutions in 2026.
