DeepSeek forms dedicated team to develop code agent

DeepSeek registered a public WeChat page titled "Deepseek Harness Team", signaling focus on developing a code agent product. The company established an internal Harness team based in Beijing dedicated to working on code agent technology inspired by Anthropic's Claude Code. A senior DeepSeek researcher confirmed that the new product, called "DeepSeek Code Harness", is being developed to directly compete with similar tools. The company is recruiting for key positions of product manager and development engineer for the project.
