Ditto dating app uses AI to eliminate swiping

Ditto, a dating application for Generation Z, offers a different approach to traditional swipe-based apps. After texting an iMessage number, users go through an onboarding process via an AI-powered chatbot. The algorithm analyzes not just similar hobbies, but the personality traits those interests reveal, to make more meaningful matches. Matches are presented once per week, along with the date, time, and location where the date should take place. The application already has 150,000 signups, with approximately 20% of matches resulting in actual dates. Ditto is currently available at several dozen universities.
