Doubao launches virtual desktop on Windows with real-time visual interface

Doubao unveiled a new virtual desktop now available in the Windows version of its work mode. The feature enables the assistant to view the computer screen, manipulate the mouse, click buttons, and type, operating within a virtualized environment. The technology relies on generic visual interpretation capabilities, eliminating the need for integrations with MCP, APIs, plugins, or command-line interfaces. During operation in the virtual environment, the assistant does not interfere with the user's system, preserving full physical control of the mouse and keyboard. Users can monitor operations in real time and may pause whenever needed or manually resume control at any moment.
