Fortinet presents converged network security platform for AI era

Fortinet is promoting a unified security architecture vision that integrates networking and security into a single platform, addressing challenges of enterprise AI adoption. Presenting its strategy at Black Hat 2026 conference, company executives highlighted that the concept of consolidating fragmented security tools remains relevant. The company is developing governance capabilities specifically for internal AI factories, including control of authorized agents and MCP servers, monitoring token usage, and ensuring legitimate machine-to-machine communications. Fortinet already has products in market and plans to announce new ones later this year.
