Gemini App Reaches 1 Billion Monthly Active Users

Google announced that its Gemini app has become one of the company's fastest-growing products, reaching 1 billion monthly active users and becoming the 14th Google product to hit this milestone. The figure applies specifically to the standalone Gemini app and does not include AI usage across other Google products like Search and Workspace. The achievement puts Gemini on pace with OpenAI's ChatGPT, which reached 1 billion users in June 2026. Google also reported that 63% of Gemini users engage with the voice feature, and the platform generates over 150 million images daily. The company has more than 100 million active users on iOS.
