Google demonstrates how AI can create quality audiovisual content

Google held an event in New York showcasing films created with its AI video generator, Google Flow. The most well-received works combined real actors and sets with AI-generated elements, rather than relying entirely on the generation system. Filmmaker Andrew Nethery, who participated in the program, used the tool to create elements like objects and aliens while keeping real actors in the cast. Nethery emphasized that creative agencies should use these tools responsibly, avoiding AI campaigns that compromise artistic quality. Although AI-generated content is often associated with "AI slop," the event demonstrated that when used intentionally, the video generator can contribute to creating artistically meaningful content.
