Honor's self-developed humanoid robots, 'Lightning' and 'Moguizi', have officially confirmed their participation in the second edition of the World Humanoid Robotics Olympics. The event, organized by the Beijing Municipal Government and China Media Capital, features 50 competition categories, including 29 competitive events and 21 scenario-based challenges. These events range from autonomous 100-meter sprints and human-robot combat to precision table tennis matches, strength weightlifting, and multi-robot football leagues. In April, Honor's 'Lightning' robot achieved a net time of 50 minutes and 26 seconds in the 2026 Beijing Yizhuang Half Marathon and Humanoid Robotics Half Marathon, surpassing the previous human men's half marathon world record of 57 minutes and 20 seconds set by Ugandan athlete Kiprimer. Honor's robots also secured the top six positions in the event. The second World Humanoid Robotics Olympics is set to begin on August 22, featuring new events such as table tennis and free combat, with ticket prices starting at 98 yuan.
