June, a startup emerging from stealth mode, addresses a critical gap in enterprise AI adoption: making AI systems work reliably within complex existing infrastructures. Founded by Efrat Rapoport, a former Salesforce executive, along with three cofounders, the company spotted a widespread struggle among large organizations trying to deploy AI tools across their operations. The company secured $20 million in pre-seed funding led by Marc Benioff's Time Ventures, with backing from prominent tech investors including Michael Dell, Aaron Levie, and George Kurtz. The founding team brings relevant experience, having previously built Bonobo AI, an early language model company that launched voice-to-text capabilities in 2017 before being acquired by Salesforce in 2019. June's platform analyzes existing enterprise systems to map business processes, identify bottlenecks, and construct optimized workflows powered by AI agents. The software automatically generates implementation roadmaps with step-by-step guidance covering data cleanup, system integration, and deployment procedures. Real-world validation comes from CMG, a major US mortgage lender. The firm had adopted AI-powered code generation tools but faced integration challenges with Salesforce systems. June enabled the team to determine optimal agent deployment locations and successfully execute the large-scale transformation initiative they had committed to delivering.
