LinkedIn introduces tool for users to flag artificial low-quality content
LinkedIn has launched new mechanisms to address the growing presence of low-quality AI-generated content on its platform. The professional network now allows users to report posts they suspect were created artificially, providing direct input into the company's content moderation efforts.
The company acknowledged this issue as a critical priority, emphasizing that users value authentic interactions. LinkedIn is strengthening its automated defenses, currently blocking hundreds of thousands of bot comment attempts every day and millions of other automated activities in recent months.
The platform is deploying new classifiers to detect low-quality content in recommendation feeds. Users will also receive notifications when their posts appear inauthentic due to heavy AI use. As part of this effort, LinkedIn discontinued its previous AI-powered post enhancement feature, replacing it with a basic proofreading tool instead.
