MacPaw partners with Liquid AI to bring on-device AI inference to its app store
Ukrainian app developer MacPaw has partnered with Liquid AI to power its products with locally hosted AI models and is preparing its SetApp app store for AI-enabled applications. MacPaw is developing a locally hosted version of its AI assistant Eney, leveraging Liquid AI's on-device inference system called Elix and a local memory system. The partnership allows for privacy-conscious AI features, with models architected specifically for on-device performance. MacPaw plans to make the technology available to developers building for SetApp and will offer a credit-based pricing model for users, while also providing access to cloud models from companies like Google as a multi-option platform.
