Meta launches Muse Glimmer, 30-billion-parameter open-source AI model

Meta unveiled Muse Glimmer, a new artificial intelligence model with 30 billion parameters released under Apache 2.0 license. The model was optimized for local execution on machines with 32 gigabytes of RAM or more, enabling it to run alongside other applications. As a vision model, Muse Glimmer can process and describe images while participating in coding tasks. The launch marks Meta's return to open-source model development.
