Microsoft launches MAI-Image-2.6 and reaches second position in image generation ranking

Microsoft announced the launch of its new generation MAI-Image-2.6 image generation model. The model rose to second position in the Arena image generation models ranking with an Elo score of 1336, surpassed only by OpenAI's GPT Image 2. Compared to version 2.5, the 2.6 model achieved an overall Elo improvement of 79 points, with a particularly significant increase of 91 points in text rendering capabilities. The model offers improvements across multiple categories including 3D generation, cartoon art, commercial design, and text rendering, while also supporting fusion of multiple reference images and enhanced semantic comprehension.
