Omilia, an Athens-based customer support automation platform, raised $67 million in Series B funding led by Expedition Growth Capital. The company, which has been automating voice calls and customer support since 2002, focuses on self-learning agents that work across multiple customer contact points. Unlike competitors who deploy large language models across all processes, Omilia uses targeted AI solutions for complex queries while leveraging simpler tools for routine requests like account balance inquiries. The funding will support expansion in the U.S. market, where the company has already deployed its technology across more than 1,000 Taco Bell outlets and is in talks with two additional quick-service restaurant chains. With clients including Capital One, Discover, and RBC, Omilia has grown its annual recurring revenue to $60 million, representing a 10x increase since its $20 million Series A in 2020. The company plans to expand its headcount from 500 to 600 employees by year-end.
