OpenAI partners with IBM Consulting to bring AI to enterprise clients

OpenAI has announced a strategic partnership with IBM to embed OpenAI technology into IBM's global consulting operations. IBM's forward-deployed units will be trained through the OpenAI Partner Network to help enterprise clients modernize workflows and deploy AI solutions at scale. The partnership places IBM in OpenAI's elite partner tier and includes the launch of a dedicated OpenAI Practice comprising thousands of consultants and engineers certified through OpenAI's training programs. The partnership targets major barriers to successful AI adoption: helping organizations integrate AI effectively across large, complex infrastructure without relying solely on fragmented tools and legacy systems. The three focus areas address enterprise AI deployment challenges, including legacy system modernization, secure and scalable implementation, and AI-enabled cybersecurity defenses.
