OpenAI Slashes Prices for GPT-5.6 Model Lineup

OpenAI has implemented significant price cuts across its GPT-5.6 model family. The Luna variant dropped 80%, now priced at $0.20 per million input tokens and $1.20 per million output tokens. The Terra model saw a 20% reduction, bringing costs down to $2 and $12 per million tokens respectively. Additionally, the company introduced a Fast processing mode for GPT-5.6 Sol through its API, offering speeds up to 2.5 times faster at twice the cost. The underlying model capabilities remain unchanged with this performance tier.
