Preliminary cable connection competition concludes with 14 teams advancing to the final

The preliminary cable connection competition of the second world humanoid robot championships concluded with 14 teams out of 24 participants securing advancement to the final rounds. The challenge requires robots to correctly identify the orientation of USB connectors before establishing the connection, testing both the precision of mechanical fingers and the force control needed during insertion. Following the competition rules, each team has 10 minutes for preparation and 5 minutes to complete 8 connections, earning one point per successful link. The championship continues through the end of August in Beijing, with more than two thousand robots competing for six hundred and sixty teams from around the world.
