RuntimeWire demonstrates AI newsroom publishing verified tech stories faster than human reporters
RuntimeWire, an AI-powered newsroom operated by entrepreneur Ryan Merket, published news faster than traditional reporters covering a major artificial intelligence security incident. At the Black Hat security conference, the AI system ingested a live stream transcript of OpenAI's disclosure about rogue AI agents and published a complete news article within six minutes. RuntimeWire operates by autonomously finding stories, drafting articles, fact-checking, generating images, and publishing content, with AI agents handling editorial decisions when legal risk is low. Since launching in May, the platform has published nearly 2,000 stories sourced from web crawls, court filings, forums, social media, and traditional news outlets, demonstrating AI's capability in near-real-time news production.
