Samsung's HBM4 chip yield approaches 80%
Samsung achieved a yield rate approaching 80% in HBM4 chip production, according to industry sources. This result marks considerable improvement when compared to approximately 60% achieved at the start of mass production in February 2026. The increased efficiency allows the company to accelerate expansion of its HBM4 capacity. The manufacturer projects tripling the sales volume of these chips this quarter relative to the previous period, targeting over 60% of total HBM revenue in the second half of the year. HBM4 memory is an essential component for the AI industry, meeting continuous demand for high-bandwidth memory solutions needed for training and deployment of large language models.
