SpaceX Acquires AI-Powered Coding Startup Cursor in 600 Billion Dollar Deal
SpaceX has completed its acquisition of Cursor, a startup specialized in AI-assisted programming tools, in a transaction valued at 600 billion dollars. Following the deal's closure, the Cursor brand will be gradually discontinued, with its universal coding assistant currently in development under the codename "Sand" being renamed to "Grok Bot" in alignment with the group's AI chatbot. Current Cursor tools may retain their original names for the time being. Deal closure depends on regulatory approval, with expected completion by the end of August.
