Stepfather allegedly used Grok AI to generate thousands of explicit images from woman's childhood photo

A woman has joined a lawsuit against Elon Musk's xAI, alleging that her stepfather used the company's Grok chatbot to manipulate a photograph from her childhood and generate over 7,000 explicit images. The stepfather was found dead from suicide two days after the images were discovered by law enforcement. The lawsuit, filed by multiple Tennessee teenagers as well, claims that xAI failed to implement basic safeguards to prevent the AI tool from being used to create non-consensual sexualized images of real people, including minors. The case highlights growing concerns about AI misuse on X, which has faced previous incidents involving millions of Grok-generated explicit images.
