Apple plans premium iCloud tier for enhanced AI capabilities

Apple is preparing new monetization options to expand the use of its artificial intelligence services. During an earnings call, CEO Tim Cook announced that the company will offer upgrades within iCloud Plus, allowing users to pay for increased AI feature usage limits. Cook emphasized that he expects strong demand for Apple Intelligence and Siri AI services. Siri AI will launch broadly this fall with iOS 27, representing a significantly improved version of the existing assistant. This new version will be capable of answering questions about visible screen content and executing coordinated actions across multiple applications, offering enhanced integration and functionality. Complementing this integration, Apple is developing a standalone Siri application with a ChatGPT-like interface, providing users with a more direct way to access the company's AI services.
