Google DeepMind launches AI accelerator for environmental solutions across Asia-Pacific
The Asia-Pacific region stands as a major economic engine globally, yet faces considerable environmental pressures as climate change intensifies. Despite the growing adoption of green technologies, their scaling remains insufficient to match the pace of emerging environmental challenges in the region.
To support innovation addressing these issues, Google DeepMind has introduced a new accelerator program centered on applying frontier AI to environmental and planetary challenges. The three-month initiative welcomes startups, research teams, and nonprofits seeking to leverage advanced AI models to develop solutions across nature conservation, climate action, agriculture, and energy sectors.
Selected participants will benefit from expert mentorship, customized technical support, and guidance on implementing cutting-edge AI models developed by Google researchers. The program will begin with an in-person bootcamp held in Singapore.
