Wuye tech's wang xingxing discusses current limitations and future prospects of humanoid robots
On August 20, during the 2026 World Robot Conference (WRC 2026), Wang Xingxing, founder and chairman of Wuye Tech, delivered a keynote speech. He addressed the reasons behind the limited deployment of his company's products in industrial and domestic settings. Wang explained that the primary obstacle is the current inefficiency and limited capabilities of humanoid robots. He noted that while these robots can perform certain tasks, their efficiency compared to humans remains relatively low. Additionally, Wang highlighted that when humanoid robots are assigned new tasks, they require retraining, which further reduces their overall efficiency. He emphasized the need for more generalized and precise technological advancements before large-scale deployment across specific scenarios can be achieved.
