Xiaomi to unveil humanoid robot at 2026 World Robotics Congress

Xiaomi revealed plans to present its humanoid robot to the public for the first time at the 2026 World Robotics Congress. Lu Weibing, group president, explained that the priority is to focus on practical applications, particularly in intelligent manufacturing and production lines where the robot can replace human labor. The equipment, approximately 1.7 meters tall, was developed with emphasis on technological versatility, both in terms of equipment size and artificial intelligence models. The company stressed that it does not develop the robot in isolation, but rather integrates it with its business ecosystem in areas such as intelligent manufacturing, transportation, and homes. Tests at an automobile factory lasted four months, during which the robot achieved a 90% success rate on tasks such as control panel assembly and box folding, including for the first time sustained execution of work with flexible parts.
