Nous research surpasses $1.5 billion valuation with $90m series b funding

Open-source AI startup Nous Research, founded three years ago, has secured a $90 million Series B round led by Robot Ventures, pushing its valuation to $1.5 billion. Additional investors include NVIDIA, Union Square Ventures, Menlo Ventures, Samsung, and 1789Capital, which is linked to Donald Trump's son. The company has raised a total of $150 million since its inception. Nous Research's open-source Hermes Agent has gained significant traction, with over 24 million clones and accounting for 2.5% of global AI Token usage. The firm plans to leverage its recent funding to enter the enterprise market with a new product, Hermes for Businesses, designed to help companies deploy customized AI agents for complex workflows while ensuring data privacy and security. According to a Wall Street Journal report from mid-September 2026, Nous Research's annualized revenue reached approximately $36 million, with projections to exceed $100 million by year-end.
