Nubia launches ai-powered smartphone as industry's first AI agent flagship

Nubia's president, Ni Fei, announced the release of the Nubia NaviX Ultra, a new Doubao smartphone set to launch in September 2026. Positioned as the world's first AI agent flagship, the device is designed to integrate a large-scale model smart agent as its core operating system engine, differing from traditional AI smartphones that treat AI as an added application. Ni Fei emphasized that the 'last kilometer' from concept to mass production is now critical, following the M153 model launched in December 2025. The NaviX Ultra is capable of simulating human actions, such as opening apps, performing searches, and inputting information, all without requiring user intervention. For instance, it can autonomously book the cheapest flight ticket to Shanghai and return control to the user before payment. The device also prioritizes privacy by conducting all memory and computation locally, without uploading data to the cloud.
