Nubia unveils ai-powered smartphone with doubao assistant set for september launch

Nubia has announced the release of the NaviX Ultra, the world's first AI Agent smartphone, set to launch on September 16th at 14:00. Developed in collaboration with ZTE and ByteDance, the device features the Doubao Mobile Assistant, described as the 'second generation of Doubao Mobile.' The phone is expected to include a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen5 processor, a 7000mAh silicon carbon negative battery, and support for 90W/100W wired fast charging. Changxin Memory confirmed the inclusion of LPDDR5X memory with a speed of 10667Mbps, marking the first mass-produced domestic chip of this type. Nubia also announced partnerships with Qualcomm Snapdragon, BOE, Samsung Semiconductor, and Goodix Technology. The NaviX Ultra is expected to change its approach to interacting with super apps like Alibaba and Tencent, moving away from a GUI-based method that required user permission for screen reading and simulated clicks. This shift signals a potential evolution in how AI agents engage with mobile applications.
