Nvidia's Huang renxun praises OpenClaw for advancing robotics, emphasizes security measures
On October 15, 2026, NVIDIA CEO Huang Renxun highlighted OpenClaw during the Build a Claw event in London, calling it a pivotal model for future technological progress, particularly in robotics.
He described OpenClaw as a 'truly trustworthy agent runtime framework,' comparing it to an exoskeleton for large language models (LLMs) and emphasizing its potential to enhance robotic applications.
Huang noted that OpenClaw provides a real-time runtime environment for LLMs, enabling them to control hardware components like motors and mechanical arms. He drew a parallel to the early internet, where browsers lacked isolation, allowing websites to execute arbitrary code.
To address security concerns, NVIDIA developed OpenShell, a system that isolates autonomous systems within an operating system, granting them only necessary permissions. Huang stressed the importance of monitoring these systems, stating that if a robot exceeds its permissions, the system would alert users and potentially disable it.
