Nvidia's Huang renxun rejects AI regulation calls, predicts 2030 won't be the end of the world

This comes amid growing concerns within the AI industry, fueled by a September 12 article by Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, which urged coordinated control over the development of advanced AI models. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and Elon Musk have endorsed Amodei's stance, a rare alignment among industry rivals. Huang, however, argued that AI safety and progress can coexist, rejecting the need for new regulations. At the All-In Summit, he noted that in China, there is no discussion of an 'AI apocalypse,' with a more pragmatic approach prevailing. Huang emphasized that the Chinese narrative focuses on practicality rather than apocalyptic scenarios.
