OpenAI and Google Cloud have announced a partnership to integrate OpenAI’s frontier models and Codex agentic workflows into Google Cloud’s Model Garden. This integration will provide customers with native access to these models, enabling them to power complex agentic workflows at scale, supported by Google Cloud’s data governance and high-performance infrastructure. The collaboration aims to modernize enterprise software development by allowing teams to leverage OpenAI’s models within their existing environments. For regulated industries, the integration combines OpenAI’s models with Google Cloud’s access controls and data governance to meet enterprise compliance needs. Enterprises can now purchase OpenAI models through the Google Cloud Marketplace, with those having GCP commitments able to use their existing spend. OpenAI models will also soon be available in Google Antigravity and the Gemini Agent, offering customers greater flexibility in model selection. General availability is expected in the coming weeks. Microsoft remains OpenAI’s primary cloud partner.
